Hein... perhaps a long shot, but in post #1 here, I think there are some similarities with the unit emblem on a shield, as per 'Embleme der Luftwaffe, Band I", on p.141. The shield appears to lack the turrets on either side at the top of the shield motif, but nonetheless, perhaps 6.(H)/AufklGr32 would be a candidate? Coding, therefore, could have been M4+GP.

Perhaps others would be able to clarify?

Hein... yes, this is quite a difficult emblem to decipher on this image, as it seems similar but slightly different in some aspects in the photo, but as you say, the alternative is more plausible.

Given that you, Göran and myself seem generally agreed that this Henschel was operating with AufklGr32, I will move the thread into that forum rather than leave it here. Thanks to you both for your input.
